Edmo spills his beans!

"2-UpTop's Champion DreamTeamer & Spreadbetter, who always plays with a straight bat "

The Interviews:

Name: David Edmondson

Team Supported: Used to be Brighton & Hove Albion as a boy

First Game Attended & it's Abiding Memory: I remember in the early 80's going to the Goldstone Ground to see a Division 1 game between the Seagulls and Oxford United. The abiding memory would be Oxford's centre forward Keith Cassell, great player.

Favourite Away Ground: Old Trafford

Favourite Ever Match: England dismantling Holland 4-1 in Euro ‘96

Favourite Ever Goal: A close one between Platt's volley v Belgium in 1990, Gazza's against Scotland at Euro '96, but I'd go with Owen against Argentina in 1998 for the sheer surprise factor, such a young kid against supposed world beaters.

Fantasy X1:
1 - Peter Schmeichel
2 - Cafu
3 - Roberto Carlos
4 - Nicola Berti
5 - Rio Ferdinand
6 - Fabio Cannavaro
7 - David Beckham

What state do you think English Football will be in 10 years time?: Could be a lot less professional clubs, or clubs having to operate within financial boundaries more stringently. At the moment there still seem to be too many getting into trouble.

First Single Ever Bought: I can remember having a 7" vinyl of 19 by Paul Hardcastle and may also have got the spoof version by Rory Bremner!

First Album Ever Bought:  I'd have to go with first cd album as can't remember that far back, which would have been Deacon Blue's Raintown, around 1987 (marginally cooler than Five Star's Silk and Steel which I had on cassette).

Last Album Bought: Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid

Desert Island/Isle Of Mann Discs - What 5 Albums would you take?:
1 - The Cure - Disintegration
2 - Prefab Sprout - Steve McQueen
3 - New Order - Technique
4 - Radiohead - In Rainbows
5 - Gene - Olympian

First Gig Attended: Shakin Stevens at The Brighton Centre

Fantasy Band:
Vocals: Martin Rossiter (backing vocals Beth Orton)
Lead Guitar: Bernard Butler
Rhythm Guitar: Roddy Frame
Bass Guitar: Alex James
Drums: Larry Mullins Jr.
Keyboards: Mylene Klass

Hero in Music: Roddy Frame

What state do you think the Music Industry will be in 10 years time?:  A resurgence in proper bands, with the X-Factor style karaoke punters having been swept away by their own overkill.

First Film seen at the Cinema: Probably Flash Gordon

1 - Shawshank Redemption
2 - Fletch
3 - Pulp Fiction
4 - Leon
5 - Spies Like Us

Favourite Actor: Kevin Spacey

Favourite Comedian: Chevy Chase / Michael McIntyre

Favourite Sitcom: I've only seen the last Xmas special but enjoyed Gavin and Stacey
