Introducing Dee V
From Pixie Lott to Pete Doherty it seems inevitable that singers will dabble in fashion at some point.
And it appears that Diana Vickers is the latest pop star to launch her own range of clothing.
Taking inspiration from the 60s, the eight-piece capsule collection, Dee V, incorporates floral prints and pastel shades.
Vickers, 19, said the theme of her collection with mid length hemlines and chic A-line cuts has been designed with the American TV series, Madmen in mind.
The collection will be on sale with prices ranging from £20 to £99 for items including sequin dresses, cotton tees and wide leg jeans.
She said: 'It is fun with a sophisticated twist. It's full of unique prints and gorgeous colours.'
Known for her quirky fashion sense, the dresses and playsuits featured in her début collection are printed with whimsical blossom, bird and dog patterns.
Featuring a feminine palette of lemon yellow and dusty pinks Vickers has also included a pair of flares in the collection paying homage to this season's retro revival.
The Lancashire-born beauty who who first found fame as a semi-finalist on the fifth series of The X Factor in 2008 is keen for the clothes to reflect her personality.
She said: 'It is important to me that people will look at the collection and see that it has come from me.'
TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton have also produced ranges for the online retail site and Very.co.uk are confident that these new styles will be a hit with customers.
Dan Rubel, Brand Director of the online fashion site said: 'Diana is emerging as a style icon and has bought her unique sense of style into her first ever fashion collection.
